Mediation Defined
Mediation is a dispute resolution process. The mediator is an impartial, neutral facilitator. The mediator provides the framework for the discussions of the parties in the mediation process.
The parties are the decision makers, exercising self-determination to arrive at their own decision during the mediation process.
Hours of Operation
The hours of operation are flexible and generally Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until the mediation sessions end for Zoom mediation sessions. In-person mediation sessions can be conducted at Mediation Center's Office located at 1 East Broward Blvd., Suite 700, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301 or I can travel to your office.
Some weekend hours are available. Mediation sessions are scheduled by email at jpotthoffmediationcenter@gmail.com or phone at (954) 850-2880.
Mediation Fees and Payment Process
Fee Structure
- Family cases-$150.00 per hour for the parties' combined income of $50,000 or less
- Family cases-$200.00 per hour for the parties' combined income of $50,000-$100,000
- Family cases-$250.00 per hour for the parties' combined income of $100,000-$150,000
- Family cases-$300.00 per hour for the parties' combined income of $150,000-$200,000
- Family cases-$350.00 per hour for the parties' combined income over $200,000
- Circuit and County cases with the prefix of COINX-$350.00 per hour
- County cases excluding County cases with the prefix of COINX-$250.00 per hour
- Dependency cases-$150.00 per hour
Payment Information
Payment is accepted via Square and Zelle. Payment via Zelle can be made to Mediation Center's phone number of 954-850-2880.
Payment for the first hour of mediation is due prior to the commencement of all mediation sessions.
